- Install and open FreeCharge app
- Log in to your FreeCharge account
- Click on Chat n Pay on the top of menu
- Once you click on Chat n Pay, you get more options like Send Money, Request Money, and Add Money
- For instance, if you wish to send money to someone, click on Send Money, enter the mobile number and the amount of the recipient, and click on Pay Now
- The money is transferred over chat

- Merchants need to integrate not just their bank account number but also their area of business and choose a custom identifier which helps the customers in identifying the respective service area through FreeCharge app
- The entire process takes not even 5 seconds to transfer funds
- The minimum amount which can be transferred is INR 1 while the maximum is INR 10,000
- You can also recharge a friends mobile number by selecting the recharge option, whether he/she is a FreeCharge user or not
- You can also transfer to someone who does not have a FreeCharge account. In such a case, the money transferred is parked aside and is credited to the receiver's account when he/she joins or registers on FreeCharge. However, if the recipient does not join FreeCharge in 7 days, the transferred amount is credited back to your account
- In fact, in case you have requested money transfer from someone who does not have a FreeCharge account, he/she will still be notified of your request through an SMS
